Why go on a surf trip?
Essaouira bay is perfect for learning, but it is not always the best choice for progression. When the swell is too small, too windy or badly oriented, the spots around the city can offer better waves.

Imsouane is not sold as an automatic promise. If the swell is wrong, if the wind ruins the spot or if the group level is not suitable, staying close to Essaouira can be the better decision.

How a trip day works
The day starts by confirming the conditions. KSE checks the swell, wind, tide and group level before validating the destination. Leaving only makes sense if the chosen spot gives a real chance of a better session than Essaouira bay.
On site, the goal depends on the level: catch longer waves, work on paddling, learn to position yourself on a different peak or simply enjoy a spot better suited to the day. The return follows the session, with a debrief on what changed between the forecast and the real spot.
Who a surf trip is good for
A surf trip mainly suits surfers who already have a base: paddling, standing up, handling a fall and listening to safety instructions in a less familiar environment. A complete beginner can sometimes join, but only if the spot and conditions stay easy.
For a family or mixed-level group, the choice has to be even more selective. A long drive for a wave that is too powerful is not useful. In that case, the team can recommend a bay session, a shorter outing to Sidi Kaouki or another time.
